Save the Redwoods

$1 Restores 7.8 sq. ft. of redwood forest.

Save the Redwoods League is a nonprofit dedicated to protecting and restoring California’s majestic redwood and sequoia forests. They acquire and rehabilitate forest lands, then partner with parks agencies and Indigenous communities to ensure these ancient trees thrive for generations to come.

$1 Grows 2.57 trees.

Trees for the Future is a nonprofit that helps farmers in Sub-Saharan Africa escape poverty by teaching them how to grow Forest Gardens—sustainable plots that restore the land, feed families, and fight climate change. With just $1, you can help plant nearly three trees, remove over 11 pounds of CO₂ per year, and provide nutritious food for communities in need.

Stop Ocean Plastics in Rivers

$1 Removes 45 bottles worth of ocean-bound plastic.

Plastic Fischer is a dedicated team working to stop plastic pollution at its source by installing floating barriers—called “trashbooms”—in rivers across Asia, especially in areas like the Ganges River in India, one of the world’s most polluting waterways. These simple, low-cost solutions have already prevented over 412 tons of plastic from reaching the ocean, making a big impact with every dollar donated.

49ers Expand Faithful to the Planet Initiative with New Partners, First-Ever Sustainability Summit at Levi's® Stadium

Representatives from the 49ers, corporate partners, beneficiaries and Dollar Donation Club gathered at Levi's® Stadium during Earth Week for the inaugural Faithful to the Planet Summit to celebrate the tremendous impact being made by its partners and supporting beneficiary projects.

Powered by Dollar Donation Club and thanks to support from seven founding partners (Anheuser-Busch, Cadence, Levi's, Pepsi, SAP, Toyota, and United), and three new partners (Avery Dennison, Delta Dental, and Peet's Coffee), Faithful to the Planet has increased funding and impact to its core environmental and sustainability projects. Since program inception, Save the Redwoods League restored 186,485 square feet of redwood forests, Trees for the Future planted 69,927 new trees, and Plastic Fischer removed 52,008 pounds of ocean-bound plastic.

Peet’s “Buy A Bag, Restore the Redwoods” Initiative

Thanks to the support of Peet’s customers, 2,550 pounds of coffee was purchased—helping protect California’s iconic forests. For every pound sold, Peet’s donated $2 to the 49ers' Faithful to the Planet Giving Circle, supporting Save the Redwoods League and their mission to restore and protect redwood ecosystems for generations to come. Together, we’re brewing a better future—one bag at a time.

Faithful to the Planet partners restore Muir Woods, protecting redwoods for future generations

25 volunteers from the San Francisco 49ers, and partners of its Faithful to the Planet coalition, participated in a first-ever Volunteer Day at historic Muir Woods National Monument. In collaboration with Save the Redwoods League, restoration efforts included “flossing the forest” - an initiative aimed at removing dirt & debris to improve drainage and visitor experience within the famous US National Park.

In just its second year, Faithful to the Planet continues to make both regional and global environmental impact through the continued support of its great partners. We thank the volunteers from Levi Strauss & Co. SAP, Cadence & H/L Agency (on behalf of Toyota North America), that contributed their time to help support the park and protect this old-growth redwood forest.
